Cape Capsules Back Packers is your go-to surf camp in Muizenberg, South Africa. With five surf lessons over a week, you’ll ride the waves with skilled instructors who provide all the necessary gear. The laid-back vibe of this bohemian seaside village is perfect for relaxation and exploration. Each day starts with breakfast, and Saturdays are a chill day. End your week with a farewell barbeque where you can share stories and prizes with fellow surfers. Just a stone’s throw from East Beach, this is the birthplace of surfing, where the waves promise adventure for all levels.

The program
Your surfing week kicks off on Wednesday with your arrival. Lessons begin Thursday and run through Sunday, with a day off on Saturday. Each lesson is 1.5 hours long, providing plenty of time to practice and improve your skills. Wrap up your stay with a barbeque and prize-giving evening on Tuesday before you depart on Wednesday.
Accommodation
Stay in the cozy Octopus room with single beds, perfect for two friends. Shared facilities include a bathroom and a self-catering kitchen, with essentials provided such as shower gel and toiletries.

Muizenberg is famed for its beautiful beach and surfing culture. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere while exploring local pubs and restaurants just a short walk away.
